Day 17 of our camper van escapades and we are starting to wend our way home with one small step (for mankind and dog) to Folkestone.
A walk on the famous white cliffs and a chance encounter with the Battle of Britain Memorial that commemorates the thousands of lives lost, in 1940, in the first military campaign fought entirely in the air.
Then it was off to The Valiant Sailor pub for a Sunday roast. Like a number of pubs in the UK you can book to park your camper van in their carpark overnight for FREE if you eat in the pub. Now that’s what I call a good deal! Especially when the food was excellent.
Tomorrow we're hopping on LeShuttle (said in a suitably cheesy French accent!), aka the Eurotunnel train, and back to Europe for a three day roadtrip…
