Auggie has very specific rules about ball playing, which he has made up. You will not be permitted to throw the ball unless you meet him at the Ball-Throwing Place. Once there, he will relinquish the ball. Don’t ask me. I used to have my own rules, but I’ve discovered it’s much more fun to try to figure out what he’s thinking. He has a busy mind.
