Here’s the video version of my discussion with Dave Bondy.

Dave and I reviewed the plan to log 420 acres of state forests to clear room for another major solar development.

We discussed the inherent contradictions in that plan, the impacts of relying on wind and solar on grid reliability, increasing costs, and the amount of state land that will need to be turned into industrial solar facilties to achieve Gov. Whitmer’s “net zero by 2050” energy policies.

Michigan residents should get ready because the big utilities and solar and wind developers will be coming to your town and county to find land that they can transition from forests and food production to industrial solar and wind generation.
