I’m new to all of this so this is my perhaps awkward, it feels awkward, first post. The world is a mess. I’m going to be very focused on keeping my heart intact as we move through these deeply troubling times. Today feels like that moment when something bad is coming and you want to run but you know that it’s not an option. What’s coming will be all around you regardless of where you go or what you do. So you take the deep breath, you square your shoulders, you anchor yourself to the best parts of who you are, and prepare to walk through it. No matter what happens or where we land, democracies rise, they stumble and maybe even fall. But here’s the most important part: they do rise again. I’ll be heading to that moment.
