The Rafah city and governorate don’t exist anymore. Rafah has been completely erased and destroyed.

Israel destroyed over 90% of homes and leveled more than 20,000 buildings and over 50,000 housing units. It wiped out 22 of 24 water wells and disabled most of the water distribution system, cutting off access to drinking water for tens of thousands.

Israeli forces dismantled over 85% of the sewage network and bulldozed 320 kilometers of roads. They bombed 12 medical centers, 8 schools, and over 100 mosques. They also flattened tens of thousands of dunums of farmland and destroyed all greenhouses and trees.

Israel demolished 30 of 36 government buildings and cleared a 12-kilometer area along the Egyptian border, erasing 90% of neighborhoods in the southern parts of the city. Israel deliberately made Rafah uninhabitable.
