Gazas Forgotten Families Sunday Aug 9th

Today, Abood A and his team distributed a 12,000-liter water truck in Northern Gaza.

The video shows the amount of people who benefited from this water delivery.

Their initial plan was to go to the eastern part of the Al-Zaytoun area, as they receive many requests for help from there. Because they are located in the Yellow Line area, water trucks do not go there, and as a result, they are suffering from a severe lack of water.

They distributed about 8/9000 litres of water to approx 250 families and then decided to take the rest to a deserted area along Salah Al-Din Street. Not all families are living in designated camps.

These are Aboods words:

It felt as if everyone there were only spirits. The people were completely exhausted and could barely speak. They were coming from very far away just to get water. These families are suffering, but because there are so few of them, no water trucks come to them.

One person from the area told me that I needed to take off the hat I was wearing because the occupation targets anyone wearing a hat.”

Around 50 families benefited from that remaining water. The team stayed there for nearly half an hour, waiting for people they could see who were slowly walking toward them, probably exhausted, because they needed water.

Thank you Abood for your work today.

We move forward - without the hat 👀

Please donate towards this weeks water initiative. We now have enough for the first half of the week but still need more to carry out a full delivery all next week.

Thanks you all for your wonderful support and don’t forget to share this!
