Welp, Meta just took one giant step…in the wrong direction.

By replacing fact checking with crowdsourcing, the amount of misinformation circulating on their platforms will increase even more. Meanwhile, our trust in their platforms will continue to decline.

Platforms like Meta are not making decisions that help users. I’m sure there’s a cost savings in this decision, but that comes at the cost of our trust and mental health.
