I write about coffee and am reporting for an article here in Mexico City. On Thursday, I interviewed a coffee shop owner who shared that in recent years, more than 600 new coffee shops have opened in the city. That scale is so hard for me to wrap my head around, but yesterday I saw a cat cafe, one inside a dog grooming business, one inside a designer pencil shop, and a vinyl store.
