Here’s what just happened with the ACA premium tax credit vote in the Senate: Republicans could have joined Democrats and quickly passed the 3-year extension tonight using Unanimous Consent but they didn’t. THIS SUCKS BUT IT WAS NEVER GOING TO PLAY OUT ANY OTHER WAY. We don’t  remotely have the votes to pass this (or basically any bill) by unanimous consent. This was a show vote. Unfortunately, it is being described as if it is the final nail in the coffin. Again, my understanding is that it is not.
