I took this pic of then Vice President Joe Biden in the Oval Office back in September 2015. The Biden I remember from those days always seemed to enjoy the give and take with reporters. Of course, he wanted to be president. But he sat out the 2016 campaign after losing his son Beau to cancer. I’ll never forget how, during the 2020 campaign, he would make a point of saying the press is NOT the enemy of the people. Thinking of President Biden and his family as he takes on this next battle. Not as a reporter. But as a fellow American. Godspeed Mr. President.
