OPS is the only Batting stat most fans need. ERA measures team Run Prevention -- FIP is better for isolating Pitching. Fielding is still grossly underrated. TL;DR: OPS + FIP + DRS ≈ 93% of W. The rest (e.g., K/BB, SB, SAC, WHIP, BABIP) is narrative.
