Every few months, I dive back into the issue of patenting and intellectual property.

Huge time sink but so important. There is remarkable little evidence, if any at all, that patents encourage innovation on net. In fact, outside of chemical/pharma, patents seems to stifle innovation.

I am revising several essay and writing a new one to flesh this out in more detail:

Essay one will be about patent failure modes.

Essay two will be a revised “patent vs prizes” discussion.

Essay three will be a revised essay on approaching intellectual property.
