Does the political movement organize around a dehumanized scapegoat? Does it use or excuse political violence as a tool? Does it demand loyalty to a leader over democratic norms and institutions? Does it operate from a mythic restoration narrative rather than a policy platform? If yes -- that is not ideology. That is something else.
