Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer posts her first Substack and if anyone doubted she has taken herself out of the running for national office anytime soon, she offers this point of view, one that is decidedly unpopular with Democratic voters adamant that an authoritarian government pushing fascist police tactics must be opposed at every turn:

“In my last year as governor, I will keep doing my job the best way I know how. I will show up anywhere when it makes the people of Michigan or our economy stronger. I’ll work with anyone, even if I disagree with them 99% of the time. After 25 years, I still know that’s the right approach.”
