Have you ever felt SO sure and CLEAR about some things in your life, and yet wandering around in muck and sludge in other areas?
For me, it’s the people I love, what I’m meant to contribute to the world from a sense of humility AND fierceness, being BOLD.
After Mom’s death, I created a (short) one-woman solo show called, “Good Grief,” in which I explored my grief, the suddenness of losing Mom way too soon, and not having all the answers (do we ever?).
At the end of the show, I promised Mom, speaking from my truest self after a cast of internal characters had weighed in, that I’d
BE BOLD.
As eleven years since Mom’s death approaches, I’m sitting with this.
Have I been true to my word?
With the chaotic nature of these times, I need to lean into what’s possible, what’s kind, what matters.
It’s not to look away, no.
If we all leaned into how we can make the world a better place, (at the risk of sounding naiive and polyanna), would it matter?
WHAT WOULD YOU DO, and what are you doing?
“Darkness cannot drive out
darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only
love can do that.”
-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Love welcome ❤️.
Let’s blot out this hate.
