I just tried, but I think failed, to post the reply below to Rudy not like the mayor @rodolfohueso.  Overnight, Rudy commented on my post yesterday of the president’s Truth Social post about the tragic murders of Mr. & Mr. Reiner, “Judge. I respect your position. But, why in the hell are you giving this inglorious bastard any oxygen? It is what got him elected and then re-elected.

This morning, I replied to Rudy:

“Thank you, Rudy. I understand and appreciate your sentiment.

After the past five years, I have come to believe that the only hope now is for every American — especially the Republicans who voted for the president and continue to support and enable him — to be continually confronted every day with every word the president speaks, every thought he has, and every act he takes.

If Americans were to witness “firsthand” as it were his every word, thought, and deed, all of which he proudly proclaims to us, and were we actually to reflect on what he is saying, what he is thinking, and what he is doing, I have to believe the nation would condemn and repudiate him and all that he stands for. Just as they did yesterday when they saw and reflected upon his entirely unsurprising yet repulsive Truth Social post about the tragic murder of Mr. & Mrs. Reiner.

Though belatedly to be sure, I sense for the first time that Americans are finally, finally beginning to take note — and to take stock.

In my view, that is because, and it is only because, the president himself is increasingly and hostilely confronting Americans with his every ugly word, thought, and deed, as if to dare America to condemn and repudiate them — and along with them, him."
