Yesterday evening I went out for a quick stroll to grab something at the grocery store. Outside is - 15. The first supermarket I went to was working as usual. The second one too, as I passed to grab some bananas, as in the first one they were unripe, green. And while picking them, I was thinking that in these conditions, with 70% of Kyiv without electricity and ongoing air assaults, I still have the possibility to choose a riper fruit. And to get other kinds of food. A sushi and pizza place, and a small bakery, were open. Everybody around is doing everything possible, with every means left, to make the country function. These days, there have been several warnings that Russia is going to strike the power grid again. Weaponizing winter is their cruel strategy. They’ll do everything to try to make Kyiv bow, to make it uninhabitable. I believe they’ll fail this time too. 44 days to spring left
