Almost four years ago, my late husband and I lost everything in an apartment fire, including our cats. This little girl came to live with us three months later when she was just a kitten. I have had seven cats in my life, and I’ve adored them all, but this little monster is the best I’ve ever had. She helped me heal from the fire, and then she helped me heal from the loss of my husband and my father. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her. Meet Mercy! ☺
