I wish Substack had a Pay What You Can option so I could pay a few dollars when I read an article I appreciate instead of only having the option for a $70 year’s subscription. I cannot afford to subscribe to all the writers I appreciate and would like to support in affordable ways.

I almost stopped writing because no one was engaging.

Then someone told me, “I’ve been reading everything you post.”

That’s when I realized: silent readers exist—and they matter.

So I kept writing, even when it felt like no one was watching.

If this info wasn’t classified, that in itself would be a scandalous screw-up that must be explained.

And if it was classified, then the Trump administration lied to Congress and to the American people.
