Trump has installed a new statue of Christopher Columbus at the White House. Columbus famously never "discovered" America and never set foot on the land that is now the United States of America. But he did kidnap, enslave, torture, and murder tens of thousands of indigenous people in the Caribbean.

Unfortunately, Trump's statue is predictable rage bait. Whenever he's in trouble, he launches a new culture war battle to distract his base from his failures.
