Whenever I start feeling deeply frustrated with Men, I think about the men I work with.

Our founder took a 3-month paternity leave, then reduced his schedule to 3 days a week so his wife could focus on growing her own business.

Our president remarked this week that he spent the entire weekend deep cleaning because we’re preparing for our annual retreat and he likes to leave the house as clean as possible for his wife.

An ex-military team member moved his mother into his home so he could care for her after she was diagnosed with Alzheimers.

Another team member regularly shows off his new nail polish colors during our morning Zoom huddles.

Another doesn’t have kids himself but often watches his neighbors’ three year old, and another flexes his schedule around his kids’ school pickups and drop-offs.

One bakes pies for his family and another led a Zoom baking class for us after spending months perfecting a chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Another creates art in his spare time.

THIS is what it looks like when a company proactively challenges toxic gender norms and when men are proactive about bucking convention and stepping up.

Oh yeah, and our female CEO + our 67% female/nonbinary leadership team (including yours truly) kicks ass daily! 👊
