Whistleblowers at the Department of Veterans Affairs are reporting that Trump is removing all vacant mental healthcare roles.

This is following a hiring freeze and purge of tens of thousands of VA employees since Trump began his second term.

The VA was already critically short on mental healthcare professionals. Trump artificially expanded that problem. Now he’s closing all vacant positions as if they’re not necessary.

The damage that is being done now will impact countless veterans, restricting access to necessary, life-saving care, all to push profits to the private healthcare industry.
