One way to tell the difference between menopause brain fog and dementia.
Fluctuation as opposed to progression—the fog associated with menopause affects a number of things, including poor sleep, hot flashes, stress, alcohol, and a meal that has been skipped. In a good week the head is clear. Nevertheless, the trend towards dementia goes in one direction over months and years no matter how well one sleeps.
