I came to Substack first because a friend was publishing here.

Then I started thinking of serial-publishing two novels here. One is a post-post-apocalyptic sci-fi story in which an AI takes over the world in order to save it, with mixed results (though one that my environmentalist and nature-loving friends might find pretty utopian). The other novel is a satire on conspiracy theories, truthers, and anti-science beliefs. I hope to begin publishing the first one in the next couple of months.

And now I’m finding Substack has a really great, supportive and interactive community. Elle Griffin’s The Elysian is one place that I’ve found most enjoyable recently.
