The security guards at the school on my block are very friendly and cordial. They always say hello, and often ask about my dog. One fellow, from Virginia, is one of those people who I see every day and chat with about the weather, but we don’t know each other’s names. At some point I had mentioned I was originally from New York, so that’s what he calls me. I don’t mind!

(I do not, however, call him Virginia)
