I do hope that in all this Signal-gate chatter we don’t forget some of the reasons why gov’t officials don’t use Signal. It’s security. If anyone accesses their phone over an open Wi-Fi, if they open malware that installs spying software or if the device gets lost or stolen, it puts our nation at risk sometimes by our adversaries.
