Since the EU is bankrolling the corrupt and illegitimate regime of Zelensky, European political elites will now ban the Ukrainian men, who are "defending European values," from seeking refugee status in the EU.

In other words, the Ukrainians are not allowed to enjoy the very freedoms they are allegedly sent to the front to defend.
