Yesterday I posted about the importance of language in these times. We must call the thing the thing it is.

I’m happy to see that last night, Rachel Maddow understood the assignment. I hope to hear more of this language from journalists because it matters.

It’s hard to say these words because it seems impossible to believe it’s happening here. So, saying it out loud feels hyperbolic. It’s not.

The sooner we all accept what is really happening, the sooner we can get to a place to DO SOMETHING about it. Also, Trump will have to address his actions for what they are instead of how he’s portraying them.
