Hilton (the corporation) had an opportunity to back the MN hotel that refused to let ICE agents stay there.
Instead, they dropped that hotel from their system (where a majority of people go to book their stays) which could potentially put this independent location out of business.
I was excited to see a hotel (affiliated with Hilton) do the decent, peaceful, within-their-rights thing as resistance to this administration and likely as protection for staff that may be at risk of being profiled by ICE agents staying at the hotel.
Now we have to boycott Hilton. They care more about the small (but loud) minority of people threatening to stop doing business with them.
What a difference a few days makes in Trump’s America.
