To be clear - blowing a whistle now warrants a beating and an arrest.
Here’s my question: how does blowing whistles in communities as a warning impede their authority or activities?
If ICE has done their research and has legal warrants to detain and deport someone - a whistle can’t stop that.
A police officer showing up anywhere to make an arrest is in no way deterred or impeded by people blowing whistles. They’re going to make the arrest because they have legal authority to do so.
Someone hiding in their home, with charges against them, does not have protection from a legally obtained warrant.
I don’t want to hear one more person saying that citizens are impeding anything by blowing a whistle or peacefully protesting because it’s absolute bullshit.
Class action suits should be happening right now for everyone who has had their rights violated by ICE.
