WHERE IS OUR DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP?
I am sick to my stomach — and every American should be.
When is it going to be enough? First it was Rene Nicole Good. Now it’s a 37-year-old American citizen executed in broad daylight on the streets of Minneapolis during a federal operation. Two lives. Two tragedies. Two families shattered. And instead of answers, accountability, and leadership — we’re getting silence, spin, and threats.
And where is our Democratic leadership right now? Where is Chuck Schumer? Where is Hakeem Jeffries? Where is the urgency? Every single national leader who claims to defend democracy should be in Minnesota TODAY — standing shoulder to shoulder with Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey — standing with the Minnesota people against this onslaught. Not tweeting. Not fundraising. Showing up. Fighting back. Leading.
Because let’s be clear: this isn’t “public safety.” This is power without restraint. This is intimidation. This is what it looks like when a government starts treating American communities like enemy territory. And now I’m hearing talk of the Insurrection Act — not to protect Americans, but to crush dissent and impose control. That is authoritarianism, and it is happening right in front of our eyes.
Enough is enough. This is the final straw. If you’re furious, you should be. If your heart is pounding, GOOD — that means you’re awake. Now we act: Call your representatives. Demand accountability. Demand federal agents get out of Minnesota. Show up. Speak out. Stand together. Because if they can do this in Minnesota today, they’ll do it everywhere tomorrow.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
