I’m not trying to gainsay anyone’s hobby, but if you’re at the point where you consider it a victory to have negotiated being slightly less insulted and abused, perhaps consider leaving the world of video games behind and move on to something else, something not produced by your enemies. Too much energy, especially too much intelligent young male energy, gets poured into hour after hour of this time sink. If you’re good at solving problems, strategizing, analyzing systems, and coordinating with others, maybe there’s a reason the system would prefer you sit alone in your house tapping on a joystick rather than deploy those skills IRL.
