Ok - the Weekly Digests emailed by Substack: what? And why?

On what basis are these pieces being suggested “for me”? At least one was a “curated content-strategised” stack I *actively* avoid (and previously unsubscribed) but which still gets constantly plugged at me by Substack. Another was a piece from Ted Gioia (who I love) - which I had already read.

Come on. Surely, the algo must be better than that?

Surely it can track when I have unsubscribed to a stack and/or read a piece - and so would not appreciate having them emailed to me?

On a similar note, why am I getting peddled the same three ‘stackers ALL THE TIME? There is so much great writing out there, Substack.
