I went into this expecting insight.

I got a reckoning.

There's a difference.

Insight says: here's what's true.

Reckoning says: here's what's true, and you've known it for a long time, and now what?

Twenty-five years of writing. Six eras. One question at the end of all of it.

Now what.

I don't know yet what it adds up to. That's kind of the point.
