“Just pathetic': says Gavin Newsom… He says Europes leaders are soft on Trump….

So just to flesh this out a little and believe me with a lot of my family living in CA I think I’m at least speaking with some understanding. Also I think Gavin is truly super and I’d like to see him run for President when/if this *hit show is over!

BUT as a European you have to understand the complexity and the characteristics of us and why some of our leaders,including my Prime Minister Keir Starmer are reticent.

We have had in Europe hundreds of wars since 1776 and hundreds of armed conflicts in Europe since then.They are ongoing as we all know and witness with horror daily. Maybe just maybe we in Europe,all our countries could be given a little credence for understanding the ghastly history of it all and maybe that is why some of our leaders are being cautious it’s because we have experience of all of it.

I’ll add at this point that personally I don’t agree with all that our prime minister has said or done re Trump. I and millions were horrified when he was invited for a state visit we demonstrated against it. It was sickening to hear and see such a reprehensible tyrant standing ( when he wasn’t asleep!) next to King Charles.

I vehemently disagree with General Mark Rutte and his fawning behaviour it’s sickening to see.

So Governor Newsom please at least do not take your pent up frustration out on Europe. We are far from perfect we have admired,trusted and respected America for 80 years or more we are standing by you all in your hour of need so just be grateful for that as we too feel waves of pain and anger over your President.
