Tech bro day 1 reflection:

Yesterday was the first day at Fractal Tech bootcamp. I meant to post this last night, so I’m already behind schedule. :)

First assignment was to build and deploy a personal website with Claude Code. I’ve done neither before, and felt pretty good about my end result until dun dun dun…the comparison game creeped in.

There’s about 20 edit: 15 total other students in the bootcamp, and most already have a computer science and/or software engineering experience. In some sense, I’ll need to catch up. But also, everyone works at their own pace—the instructors emphasized this too. As long as I’ve improved compared to yesterday, it’ll be a win.

Heartened that writing a lot (including journaling by hand) is a key part of the program. I can lean on writing for a confidence boost, which I’ll likely need.
