Vote Farage = Get Trump

Watching the US right now, we can see that it’s not a very united, United States is it? Trump’s obsession with performative cruelty to progress his immigration policy is on view for the world to see. ICE is rampaging through Minneapolis, in Maine now,  and other places too. If Reform come to power in the UK we can expect similar. In their document ‘Operation Restoring Justice’ they clearly lay out a plan to “identify, detain and deport illegal migrants” with what they call an “uncompromising legal reset with national scale enforcement”. They also state that: “A Reform Government will show unflinching resolve to ensure that deportations are prioritised”. Does that sound like ICE to you? It does to us.

They intend, if in government, to remove migrants rights and OURS TOO! YES, everyone loses if we leave the ECHR. Reform will create a new enforcement unit called “UK Deportation Command”- ICE by another name. ICE which is currently marauding, with their faces covered, without accountability, whilst they harass, intimidate, terrorise, kidnap and murder people in Minneapolis and elsewhere.

Do we really want that here? Is this how we want to behave towards vulnerable people fleeing war and persecution? And what happens when there are no more asylum seekers left. Who is next? One of the things that we, here at QM headquarters are wondering about is how Nigel Farage will respond to and label people who will protest and perhaps riot at the mass building of detention centres. Detention centres that will have the capacity to hold up to 24,000 people at any one time. Oh, and by the way no one is illegal. They are human beings without the correct paperwork.
