French Idiom of the Week: Poser un lapin 🐰

Literal translation: To place a rabbit. Real meaning:To stand someone up.

This phrase is so common in France that it recently made the news! The government actually discussed a "Taxe Lapin", a financial penalty for patients who miss doctor appointments without cancelling.

So if you ghost your French doctor, you aren't just rude... you are "placing a rabbit".

Example:"Il n’est pas venu au restaurant ? Non, il m’a posĂ© un lapin."
