A common theme in all of these displays is the statement of how “evil” the person or the crime committed is. Regardless of how clear the motivation may be (it’s usually money), law enforcement and media personalities will often refer to the person as evil. Evil is a concept that has no value in a legal system, nor even in a system of morality. The only place terms like good and evil have any real application is within game systems and even there they are being phased out because they are so binary as to have no relationship to human behaviour.
