Short=authentic as my first take: It’s a maxim that it’s more difficult to write a short piece than a long one, since the writer has to edit ruthlessly. I find that as I read through much online writing lately, I wonder whether the long pieces with single-sentence paragraphs are the product of uncritically leveraged AI.

I use AI in my work, but not a single word of my writing here is in any way the result of any AI tool.
