Video of Ana Kasparian (woke leftist) and Nick Fuentes (far right) reading from an identical playbook re. Israel and the Jews. Worth a watch.

There are many reasons for this convergence around hostility to Jews and Israel on both the left and the right.

But a central one - often missed in my view - is the spread of Islam, and with it Islamic political discourse, throughout the West and across social media.

It's seeped into wider political language to the point that people across all areas of the political spectrum (as always the left, but increasingly now the right, too) are absorbing and parroting many of its core assumptions.

There are billions of Muslim social media users globally, many of whom are politically aligned around hatred of Israel and Jews more broadly. That sits alongside major financial backing for Islamist-style propaganda, coordinated messaging, and bot amplification. And we've also experienced immense Muslim immigration in recent years, which has resulted in dramatic changes to our body politic more broadly.

The end result is that people who've built their careers on appealing to the lowest common denominator will, inevitably start falling into line with viewpoints that do well among this numerically vast, and well organised, demographic.

Hence Tucker’s sudden ‘how dare my president insult Islam’, ‘how dare you suggest Hamas are radical jihadists’ posture, and the same cookie-cutter formulations repeated elsewhere, all closely resembling forms of antisemitic propaganda that have circulated across much of the Islamic world for decades.
