Not many know that Bill Ackman, Whitney Tilson, Ken, David, Guy, Zeke, Glenn and John and sometimes me had a weekly Thursday morning idea session for a bit back in the early 2000s. We all felt we were doing something rather important and just. It was an amazing time. “Value investing” worked well, and Warren Buffett was a major hero for all of us. I think just about all of us were at the 2001 Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting.
