The Evidence of Your Life

Lately, I’ve been thinking about stillness, not as silence or passivity, but as a deep listening. A remembering.

The past two years have stretched me in ways I never expected. Friendships have changed, seasons have shifted, and I’ve had to learn what it means to surrender, truly surrender, to what is beyond my control. I realized I didn’t want to be the strongest soldier anymore. I didn’t want to keep shedding without seeing the new skin emerge. I needed space to pause, to breathe, to simply be.

My therapist once told me, “You need to be still enough to hear God.” At the time, I didn’t know how. I wanted to move, to fix, to do. But I’ve come to understand that stillness allows the blessings to flow, that surrender invites clarity, and that faith is often built on the quiet evidence of our own lives

When I look back, I see it everywhere, the doors that opened when I had nothing left to give, the help that arrived at the 11th hour, the moments that reminded me I was never alone. Whether it was a scholarship that covered my tuition unexpectedly, a family emergency that revealed support from unexpected corners, or the simple joy of walking in a park and feeling the air and trees around me, these are the pieces of evidence that remind me life is bigger than my fears.

This week’s episode of Mindful Mondays is about that space, the stillness, the surrender, and the remembering. It’s about trusting the unseen, letting go of control, and noticing the quiet blessings that are already present. When you reflect on the evidence of your own life, you see that even in the waiting, even in the discomfort, you are being guided, held, and carried toward something greater.

I hope this episode reminds you that stillness is not empty. It is fertile. It is the beginning of transformation. And above all, it is a space to remember who you are, who you have always been, and the grace that has carried you this far.
