Donald Trump now wants you to believe China has been secretly interfering in America since 2017. Experts are already reviewing the documents he referenced and confirming there’s nothing new. He’s taking incomplete, out-of-context claims and conspiracy theories and presenting them as though they’re established fact.

If he truly believed China posed this level of threat all along, why did he travel there on November 8–10, 2017, and again on May 13–15, 2026? He repeatedly praised Xi Jinping, celebrated their personal chemistry, and maintained high-level relations with Beijing. Read the quote above. This kind of history makes it difficult to believe Trump regarded China as the secret force controlling American elections all along. Why spend years praising his relationship with Xi Jinping if China was supposedly carrying out this massive operation?

And here’s what really doesn’t add up. If this interference began during Trump’s first term, it happened while he was President, under the administration he built, with the officials he personally selected for the nation’s top national security and intelligence positions.

Now answer one more question. If China supposedly compromised America’s elections leading up to 2020, 2024, and after, how did Republicans win the White House, gain control of the Senate, retain control of the House, and continue holding a conservative majority on the Supreme Court?

When a narrative falls apart under the weight of its own contradictions, you don’t ignore those contradictions, you examine them. That’s how you separate evidence from speculation and facts from political storytelling.

He is laying the groundwork for the next political excuse and narrative. When Republicans suffer major losses in the midterms (because of Trump and their policies like tariffs, Iran war, ICE and other reasons), don’t be surprised if this speech is pointed to as the explanation instead of confronting the election results. Don’t let fear replace evidence, and don’t let unsupported claims distract from the facts.
