Witnesses The MAGA Occupation Of The Kennedy Center Honors Ceremony

All of the American MAGA entertainment world is decked out to attend the Kennedy Center Honors tonight. Not a sign of a non-MAGA entertainer is in sight.

Trump apparently has had all his MAGA cabinet attend too. Everyone is happy and having fun. Such a gala for a formal black-tie and gown liberal event this is. I can just feel the whole of creative NYC shutter at this Nazis-take-the-Big-Apple spectacle. It pisses on any starving artist who ever walked the streets of Manhattan. Hitler had his chosen palette of artists, architects, and entertainers too. I wonder if there was a gala in Nazi Germany such as this to compare.

It’s effective, it makes my stomach turn, but the journalist in me is egging me on to watch it just to bear witness to dark history. Yes, I know this is the last thing many of you will do, if not to save your TV screens when you go into involuntary projectile vomiting. But it's so repugnant that it's news nonetheless. It’s a news thing and historian thing. Perhaps they will be preforming scenes from CABARET.
