TRIGGER WARNING! Is this a hate crime??

An 18-year-old named Michael was violently assaulted by a group of white males while racial slurs were shouted in Simi Valley. Some video was posted online, some was sent in to Mrcheckpoint. No arrests. No charges. Community members say one suspect has ties to local police. Why is this being ignored?

Michael suffered a concussion, chipped tooth, and other injuries. Despite the video and public outcry, no arrests have been made. One individual may have ties to local law enforcement, according to community members. Ventura County District Attorney Erik Nasarenko has the power to act, but so far, silence.
