Make money doing the work you believe in

I've been writing about communities taking on big heartless corporations for well over 30 years and I have never seen an issue bring together a coalition as wide, or as deep, as the battle against AI data centres. For folks on the front lines, it’s political, it’s economic, it’s ecological, and it’s spiritual, however you define spirit. This quote from Delsia Bare, a Kentucky farmer who refused $26-million to sell her family land says it all: "What I believe in is something called Jesus Christ, and he said to occupy, wherever you’re standing, you occupy until he returns. If I step off of this piece of property and it becomes something for an AI hub then I have failed to occupy and I can be held accountable for that on the Judgment hour."

That the quote appeared in the WSJ is no less a miracle: wsj.com/tech/ai/ai-data…
