Make money doing the work you believe in

I recently read an article (link at the bottom) about a woman contemplating leaving her husband.

I posted the following comment. If you have any thoughts, do share:

I’m so sorry to hear this, but I think you should leave him.

1st: he made vows to be faithful to you, your friend made no such vows.

2nd: no man is perfect, but an unwillingness to change or do better for you is a dead end relationship. He can say he feels remorse for cheating, but based on everything you’ve said, he is not showing any remorse in his actions.

3rd: it sounds like at least on his end, he has developed contempt for the relationship, the #1 sign of divorce.

4th: don’t worry about his feelings or how ending this relationship might devastate him. This man has shown for years now that he cares much more about his own feelings than yours. He’s been taking care of himself and his needs the entire time, time for you to take care of yourself.

5th: It’s a very long list of complaints about your husband, all legitimate and not once did you mention any redeeming qualities he has. The only reasons you mentioned for staying is that you love him and would feel bad for leaving him.

You are not his mom, you are not responsible for this man. He is an adult, he can take care of himself and you will find someone else, who actually treats you right. 💕

—In my Dark Romantasy, I make sure that my MMC is always accountable for his actions. Even when he and the FMC have a big argument, he usually gives in once he realizes there’s no point in fighting anymore—because for him, the relationship and their love is more important than being right. For her too, no matter how angry she is, if she sees that he’s hurting even if he did something horrible but he did it for her, she chooses them over the conflict.
