Make money doing the work you believe in

“Say what you wanna say

And let the words fall out…

Honestly I wanna see you be brave.”

-Sara Bareilles

What is it that you want to say that you’re not saying?

NB: do not use me as your excuse for an inappropriate outburst 👿

But in honor of today’s full moon, healthy relationships, and your inner peace, what have you been keeping in that is not helping?

I try to apply the Buddhist approach to skillful speech:

  • Is it true?

  • Is it harmonious (not people pleasing, but designed to unite)?

  • Is it kind?

  • Is it necessary?

I also want to see you be brave, and share those things you’ve been keeping to yourself. I have been practicing this with my husband and colleagues this month.

What I’m learning: it’s not easy or pleasant. It’s sometimes an incredible gift to have a third party involved (therapist, additional teammate). Even without immediate resolution, I always feel better for having said the thing. And even without perfect understanding, so do they.
