Just remember that when Musk bought Twitter, he got everyone excited over the unlimited CIA and FBI corruption which had been occurring in the organization and he promised full transparency about it. When the people he brought onboard started looking too carefully, though, he fired them and shut the discussion down. In other words, it was meant as a classic limited hangout, where a little bit of information is released in order to try to restore institutional credibility. That’s what Musk is doing here with USAid now.

Musk only bought Twitter in late 2022, basically 2-2.5 years ago, yet no one has any political memory whatsoever.
